James Caplan co-founded First Financial with his father, Michael Caplan, in 1997. With extensive experience across residential and commercial finance, lifetime mortgages, insurance, and critical illness cover, James brings a wealth of knowledge to the business

He has played a key role in expanding the company’s network of professional introducers, working closely with prominent local estate agents, solicitors, and accountants. While James is committed to delivering results for his clients, he is equally passionate about supporting the growth and development of his team, helping individuals reach their full potential.

James is also a strong advocate for improving financial education, particularly among younger people, and is dedicated to helping the next generation build a solid understanding of personal finance.

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his family and cycling. He is also a coach with the McGuire Programme, where he helps others overcome stammering.
